Since 1940, the J. Bulow Campbell Foundation has awarded over $900 million to a wide range of organizations.
Consistent with Mr. Campbell’s modest approach to philanthropy during his lifetime, the Foundation conducts its business without publicity, and grants are awarded without public announcement or recognition. However, in an effort to be transparent to grantseekers, the Foundation makes available information on grants paid on its website; this information is also provided to Candid (formerly the Foundation Center), which lists the Campbell Foundation in its foundation directory. The Campbell Foundation does not publish an annual report.
